Two-talk event to celebrate the European Statistics Day - FENStatS and SPE (presentations available)
event date: 20. 10. 2021In a joint-venture between FENStatS and SPE (Portuguese Statistical Society), we will be running a two-talk event to celebrate the day (20 oct, 11 AM WEST).
The event supports the motto of the European Statistical Advisory Committee,
"Statistics, a vaccine to protect democracy and combat the virus of disinformation”
The details on the talks are as follows:
- 11:00–11:30: Miguel de Carvalho, “Combating variants of the disinformation virus with a booster of statistical literacy”, 30 min.
- 11:30–12:00: Walter Radermarcher, "Public Statistics - infrastructure and facts for the public discourse", 30 min.
